The restaurant at the Best Western Hotel in Nelson BC needed a fresh look and menu. And owner Ryan Martin hit it out of the park hiring Calgary based FRANK Architecture to come up with this stunning design.

What a treat to make all the millwork including the curved booths, serving stations, doors, panelled ceiling, antique mirror wall, shelves, tables, mantle, firewood shelves for the wood fired oven and more.

Taking the architectural drawings and developing the construction details was a nice challenge… especially on the curved booths, and working with an architect & designer based eight hours away was seamless. Coordination with appliance suppliers, metal workers, electricians, plumbers, carpenters, plumbing kept things busy but exciting.

We think the place looks just about as good as the food tastes.
