Micha Forestell ~ Forest Designs owner & craftsperson

I have been working in the custom cabinetry and millwork industry for 20 years since graduating from Nelson BC’s Selkirk College’s Fine Woodworking program.

In school I was recognized for my design and furniture craftsmanship, but in the real world I developed a passion for helping people discover the possibilities of wood cabinetry and wood products design.

Matt and I take great pride in the quality and the durability of the work Forest Designs produces, and the value we give our clients.

I want our clients to feel they have been heard and I love connecting their design ideas into their person spaces.

We enjoy the challenge of take an architect’s vision and developing construction details and I especially enjoy overseeing large millwork renovation projects, such as what we did for the Hume Hotel and Marzano Restaurant in Nelson.

The backcountry of the West Kootenays is my solace, as is the desert …
